Intermittent closures next Tuesday and Wednesday nights as DOTD prepares next phase of Intracoastal Bridge project

WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH – Motorists should expect intermittent lane closures on LA 1 both northbound and southbound Tuesday and Wednesday nights next week as the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development prepares for the next traffic switch in the ongoing Intracoastal Bridge replacement project.

When and Where

• Dates: Tuesday, September 2 through Wednesday, September 3
• Time: 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM both nights
• Location: LA 1 northbound and southbound
• Type: Intermittent left and right lane closures

What’s Happening

Crews will be removing and placing temporary striping and installing temporary concrete barriers along both directions of LA 1 to prepare for the next traffic switch in the bridge replacement project.

Plan Your Route

• Allow extra travel time during closure hours
• Stay alert for construction personnel and equipment in work zones
• Reduce speed and follow posted signage

The work is weather-dependent and could be postponed if conditions are unfavorable.
